The County Commissioners.
Tfcecbunty commissioners met in regular monthly session Monday, adjourning Tuesday evening. J. C. Porter tendered his resignation as superintendent of the Rensselaer and Marlon township stone roads. William 3. Day was appointed in his place. Rex D. Warner; of iensselaer was appointed to a scholarship at Purdue University. The trustee of Marion township was granted permission to extend aid not exceeding sls per quarter to Ruth Guy, Cecil Potts, Marion Smith, Alice Platt, Sarah Platt and John Albertson. The following road and ditch business was transacted: Geo. F. Meyers et al, petition for highway in Walker township. Ordered established to width of 50 feet. The bond of G. B. Switzer as superiutendent of the E. P. Honan et al ditch was approved. Wm. J. Reed et al, petition for ditch. Final report received and ditch ordered established. Chas. Sage appointed superintendent. James M. Hallagan et al, petition for ditch. Ordered established. Daniel Waymire appointed superintendent. Mary Wuerthner et al, petition for ditch. G. L. Thornton appointed commissioner to act with regular drainage commissioners. Wm. E. Jacks et al, petition for highway. James Babcock, S. A. Brusnahan and James McClanhan appointed viewers.
