Will Engage in Chicken Business.

John H. Holden who recently purchased the D. A. Stoner property in the northwest part of town, is here and will occupy his property about Nov. Ist. A. Halleck, the present tenant, will occupy the former Tom Sayler property on Front street, which now belongs to A. Leopold. Mr. Holden will engage in the poultry business, raising chickens for the Chicago market. He expects after the first year to raise plymouth rocks exclusively and while he will have the thorobred stock he will not engage in the fancy hiken busi ness, raising them solely for market. He is now havin * a brooder, 20x126 feet in dimensions constructed. It is large enough to care for 4,000 young chickens. He will install in the spring an incubator with a capacity for 2,400 eggs. Mr. Holden has been an expert miner for years but is now entirely out of the business. He has had considerable experience in the chicken business during previous years. He is a hustler and will be a valuable addition to the town’s citizenship.
