Observations of a North Visitor.

The much talked of kraut factory at Newland is now running full blast. The Bloomington Pickle Co. has erected a large building aud equipped it with modern machinery and are running night aDd day employing from 25 to 50 men and girls at good wages. T. M. Callahan is also employing about 25 men pulling, crating and topping onions. The genial Tom is coming to the front as a merchant and onion king of the county. Newland is the busiest town just now that your correspondent visits in the county.
