Fair Oaks Aroused By Deaths [?] Fanaticism.

Earl had been employed by his brother-in-law, Bert Warren of Fair Oaks, tor several weeks and when the doctor, arrived he found a bad case diphtheria and 3lso found his sister, Mrs Warren to have the same dread disease. On inquire why they had not been treated, he was informed that the Warren family were members of the Holiness church and would not permit any medicine to be given, as they believed only in prayer to relieve all diseases. They also informed him that Mr. Warren’s little sister, who had been ill with diphtheria for several days, had jnst died and no physician had beeD called. Dr. Linton promptly put the Shultz boy under treatment and after several hoar of persuasion Mrs. Warren consented to the use ot anti toxin, bat after its use the family would not allow her to take any internal medicine. Public indignation at Fair Oaks is at white heat and the citizens declare that if there is any law to pnnish these people for not treating the little girl who died, they will apply i’. There were Toot children in the Warren family who have died in the past r ew years and none of them was treated by a physician.
