LITTLE BOY’S SAD DEATH
WaUer Moore, better know *>7 his nick name or “Kick” Moore, the 11-year-old son of Austin O. Moore of Barkley tp. died Sunday morning at 2 o’clock as thn result of an accident that occurred just twelve hours before. In company with Clarence Smith, son of W. F. Smith ot Rensselaer and Russell Randle, son of Ed Randle, he was horse back riding, “Kick” being on bis father’s little pacing mare. When they reached the farm occupied by Tom Walters, they turned into the barn yard gate, and the saddle on Kick’s horse tamed and he was thrown against the gate post, striking it with his forehead and across his right eye. He was at onoe picked np and taken into the Walter’s house and the family physician from Rensselaer was called and reached him an hour after the accident occurred.. The skull was not crashed but a hemorrhage Iron the ears and the throat pointed to a concussion of the brain. The phyaiciau lecoguized; the serious* ness Of the case and bad the littla fellow removed to hi* home a mile away, where sarfbalßded by the parents and other relatives he passed away at 2 o’clock that night without having regained consciousness. The boy was 11 years of age on Aug. Ist and was the youngest of two children, aDd the only child at home.
