New Owner of Parr Blacksmith Shop. Having bought the Pair blacksmith shop, I wish to ask the continued business of old patrons of the shop and also to invite others to give me a trial at theii work. I have had several years experience at the trade and Mr. Smith, the former proprietor will remain with me for a time and during the busy season I will have assistance so that work will be done promptly and entirely satisfactory. Notice of Sewer Assessment on College Avenue and Vine Street Sewer. Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of the City of Rensselaer, Indiana, in regular session on the 23d day of September, 1907, approved an assessment roll showing the prelim nary assessments for the following - described public improvement, as authorized by the resolution named: Improvement Resolution No. —, 1907, foi the construction of a sewer on College Avenue and Vine Street in said city, along the fol-lowing-described route towit: Commencing at Make-em self sewer at a joint on College Avenue where a sewer “T” is now established a little west of the center of College . Avenue and running thence northerly from said sewer “T” to the center of said College Avenue, thence north in the center of said College Avenue to a point where the center of said College Avenue intersects the center of Vine Street, and thence east in the center of Vine Street to a point north of the alley between Lots Nine and Ten in Block One in Thompson's Addition. Persons Interested in or affected by said improvement are hereby notified that the Common Council of the City of Rensselaer has fixed October 14, 1907, at 7:30 o’clock p. m, as a date upon which remonstrances will be received, or heard, against the amount assessed against each piece of property de scribed in said assessment roll, and will determine the question as to whether such lots or tracts of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts in said roll, or in a greater or less sum than named on said roll: that said sewer is a local sewer. Said assessment roll showing said preliminary assessments, with the name* of the owners and descriptions of the property subject subject to be assessed, is on file in the office of the City Clerk in the Courthouse in Reusselafcr, and may be seen and inspected at the office of said Clerk.
