Low Temperature Tuesday.

The government minimum tiiermometer registered a low mark of 35 deg. here Tuesday night, and the sky being clear, there was quite a sharp touch of frost visible this morning. Early risers could see it on roofs oi buildings, while on jjrass in low places it could be scrapetfsOff in considerable amounts as late as 630 fftalock. Vines and other tender plants i\R. exposed places show its effects quite p£X: ceptibly, but it seems not to have been heavy enough to have effected the corn very much, and in fact, farmers generally think it would do more good to the corn than harm, as it would check its growth and thus hurry its ripening process. Much pf the corn, in fact far the larger part, is now past the danger point, yet there is still consideiable that a heavy frost now would damage very materi tally, and which if it could have another week without frost would produce a good crop. The present indications of the weather seem to point to a still colder night tonight.
