Whittaker Gets Back His Cook.

The governor of Illinois has honored a requisition looking to the return of George West, an escaped convict, to the Indiana reformatory. West is now completing a sentence in the Joliet prison. He was originally sentenced at Noblesville and he was received in the Indiana reformatory October 14. 1902. He escaped in July, 1904, whilh serving as a cook at the superintend ent’s residence, and was not again beard of till he was sent to the Joliet institution.
