Death of George H. Maines.
George H. Maines, for the past seven or eight years a very highly respected resident of Rensselaer, died at eight o’clock last Friday morning, Sept. 20, at his home on Dayton street. He had been in poor health for quite a long time with that very fatal disease, diabetes, and for some time in a wholly hopeless condition, as a result of gangrene in one of his feet aud ankles. Thursday evening he was stricken with appoplexy and and his entire left side paralyzed, and this morning passed away without having regained consciousness. He was 69 years old the 27th of last March.
