Death Of George S. Guild.

George S. the oldest member of the well know Guild family of Gillam township, which had among its members two able and flourishing business men and two prominent Methodist preachers, died at 5:30 o’clock last Tuesday morning, at his home in Medaryville. It seems that for some time past he has at time s been afflicted with that very dangerous disease, diabetes, but had recently been very much better. He got a fall from a load of hay last Thursday and this apparently brought on a very severe recurrence of the disease. His condition remained very serious until Monday, when he seemed to be somewhat improved, but early Tuesday morning he suddenly became much worse, and passed away at the hour above mentioned. He was for many years a promi nent and useful citizen of Jasper county, and his life will be given in further details ar a later issue. The funeral was held Thursday, at 10 A. M., at Independence Among, those who attended frem here will be Rev. H. L. Kindig and wife, the latter being a cousin of the deceased.
