Profitable Oregon Fruit Farm.

Most people have heard something of the immense profits made some years on oranges in southern California, and on some extra favorable years when large yields and high prices are in conjunction, it is said that as much as $2,500 per acre has been realized from a single year’s crop, from old orchards. Few people however have ever heard of the almost equally astonishing profits some years made from pears in the famous Rogue River valley in southern Oregon. To illustrate this point, is an article in the Sept. 19th issue of the Med ford, Oregon Mail. There a case is mentioned where a man has just sold his this year’s crop of Winter Nellis pears on 16 acres for $20,000 in spot cash.
