Elephants Not All Trunks.
Hereafter elephants will not be checked as baggage on the Pennsylvania railroad. It has been the custom to put elephants accom ing pany shows in baggage cars and let them go thru at excess rates. The train baggagemen have been so annoyed by the unwieldly beasts, and many of the employes have been hurt by elephantine notions of humor, the company announced that elephants must go as freight or express.
