Advertising Pays the Farmer Too.

An Illinois farmer has adopted & plan of advertising in his home paper which has saved him much valuable time and given him handsome returns for small sum invested. He says, u When I am ready to sell stuff I insert an advertisement in the local paper, telling what I have to sell and, if stock, how many head of each, and when they will be ready to ship, and the result has been the buyers have been right after me, either personally or by letter, and naturally I always get the highest market price. If I want to buy a cow, steer, horse or hog, I insert a little advertisement at a small cost, and instead of traveling over the country inquiring of my neighbors who has this or that for sale, the paper does it for me at a less expense and those who have what I want manage to let me know in some way.”— Ex.
