Attorney Hershman Takes a Wife.
There was a quiet family wedding in Barkley township Thursday at’eruoon, Aug. 29, which united a well known and most highly esteemed young couple. The groom was George E. Hershman for several years past until a few months ago, located in Rensselaer in the practice of the law, and Miss May Wright, a successful teacher in the public schools of this county. She is a daughter of Jasper Wright, of Mt. Ayr, but has made her home with relatives in the Smith Newell family, in Barkley. The wadding took place at residence at 6 p. m., and was performed by Rev. Ray Ballard, pastor of Barkley M. E. church. It was a quiet family affair, only near relatives being present. Mr. Hershman has just lately returned from a prospecting trip for a new location, and it is under stood will toon depart with his bride for Vinita, Indian Tirritory.
