August Weather Record.

The government weather bureau record for Rensselaer for the month of August bears out the common idea that it was a pretty wet month yet it was no wetter than sever. 1 other Augusts have been in recent years. There was here a total rainfall of 4.38 inches, which occurred on 8 different ddfys, and distributed pretty evenly thruout the month. The most rain any one day was 1.25 on the 16th. The warmest weather was 89 degrees on the 11th, and that was just the same tecord as September made the very first time it jumped iu. The coldest was 44 degrees, on the £2. There were eight clear days in the month, 17 partly cloudy, three wholly cloudy, and three which escaped being put on record. There was plenty of heat during the month which combined with the liberal supply of rain ti make it au almost phenomenal season for the growth of vegetation, and the belated corn especially, made a wonderful developement during the month.
