Erie Canal’s Bad Break.

The arches of masonry supporting the bed of the Erie canal where It passes over Onoudaga creek in the city of Syracuse gave way. wrecking a large flouring mill and causing the destruction of several canal boats, which were drawn into the vortex. The water was drawn off of the five-mile level in which thy break occurred, thus putting an entire Mop to canal traffic. It will be several days before the break can be'Repaired.
