And Rensselaer Defeats Chalmers at Tennis.

The tennis contest Thursday afternoon between Chalmers and Rensselaer players was won by Rensselaer, each of the Chalmers teams being defeated by the doubles. Rensselaer could only scare up" three flayers of championship form, B, F. Fendig, one of the regubeing away on his wedding tour, and Firman Thompson being busy with a thrashing gang at Parr. Jennings Wright played on both teams, with Dr. Washburn against Kossabaum and Sergeant and with Rev. Work against Howell and Raub. The contest was for the three best in five, each team, and the result was as follows: Washburn ft Wright Kossabaum & Sergeant 7~ 6 * 2 2.6 O 3 4 6 4- 6 - ~ Wright & Work Howells So Raub 1 6 3) 2 7 5 3 6 _ l. ... The total games gave Rensselaer 41 and Chalmers 19. The Rensselaer players will probably return the visit within a few weeks,
