In point of membership in the order of Knights of Pythias, Indiana stands second in the list with over 60,000 members. Ohio leads with a total of 75,000 Knights within her borders. The Knights of Pythias have had a remarkable growth since the order was first organized in 1864, during the civil war. Today there are in round numbers 700,000 K. ot Fs. in the United States.
