Death Of Mrs. C. P. Hopkins.

The McEwen, Tenu., New Era of Aug. 16th, gives particulars of the death at that place on Aug. sth of Mrs. Etta A. Hopkins, wife of C. P. Hopkins, and formerly for quite a number of years, a resident of Rensselaer, where there are still a number of her husband’s relatives. She and her husband were also residents of Remington for a number of years. While the|fam ily lived iu Rensselaer Mr. Hopkins was employed for a time as a printer in the Republican office, and later was associated with H. B. James iu an unsuccessful newspaper veuture. At Remingtou he published the Press for quite a number of years. The family has been at McEwen for aoout 12 or 13 years, and where also they have published a newspaper, largely thru her direct assistance. The cause of her death was ah iuternal cancer, and her age was a few months past 49 years.
