Thompson, his attorney, and filetheir complaint and cross complaint to foreclose mortgages and for appointment of receiver herein, together with an affidavit that the defendants Samuel Harrison White and Eva White his wife are non-residents of the State of Indiana Notice is therefore hereby given said defendants, that unless they be and appear on the 22nd day of the next term of the Jasper Circuit Court the same being October 3rd 1907 to be holden on the 2nd Monday of September A. Notice of Railroad Election and Appropriation. To the qualified legal voters of Marion Township, including the City of Rensselaer, Jasper County, Indiana: Pursuant to an order of the Board of Commissioners of Jasper County, Indiana, entered of record on August 6, 1907, to which reference is had, notice is hereby given to said voters that the several voting places and precincts in said Marion Township, including the City of Rensselaer, will be opened on the 10th day of September, 1907, for the purpose of taking the votes of the legal voters of said Marion Township and the City of Rensselaer for or against the appropriation of a sum of money equal to one and one-half (.1 1 2) per centum of all of the taxable property for the current year of 1907 in said Marion Township, including the City of RensseLer; said appropriation to be made upon the conditions as set forth in the petition as now on file in the Auditor’s Office, upon which the said order of the Board of Commissioners were made, to be taken in stock in said railroad company by said Township or by the individual taxpayers as may be determined later, all of which appropriation, however, is to aid said railroad company in the construction and operation of said railroad through said Marion Township. Notice of Resolution for Sidewalk. Van Rensselaer Street. Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of the City of Rensselaer, Indiana, at a regular meeting held on the 12th day of August, 1907, passed a resolution for the construction of a cement sidewalk in said city upon the following described route, towit: Commencing on the easterly side oi Van Rensselaer Street, in said city, at the intersectipn of the easterly side of Van Rensselae Street with the northerly side of Susan Stree and at the southwesterly corner of Out Lot 76, and runbing thence northwesterly along the the easterly side of Van Rensselaer Street in front of Out Lots 76, 77 and 74 to the southerly end of the cement sidewalk now constructed on the easterly side of Vsn Rensselaer Street in front of Out Lots 69,70 and 73. Notice is therefore hereby given that the Common Council of said city will meet in the Council Chamber in the courthouse in Rensselaer, Indiana, on the 9th day of September, 1907, at 7:30 o'clock p. m., at which time all persons whose property may be affected by such proposed sidewalk improvement may be heard as to the necessity for the same.
