HORSE THIEF TAKEN AWAY

County Sheriff James Russell, of Kankakee County, 111., arrived Wednesday evening andnex J acrcing the whole party left bright and early for Kankakee. The big prisoner, Harry Gordan, who says he tips the scale at 280 pounds, was still willing to return without a requisition. He knew that he was up against it, and realized that there was; no use in making trouble and delay. The sheriff and Gordon, one of the Magruders and Mr. Baker owner of the machine, went in the automobile, while the other Magruder took the slower outfit, tue stolen horse and buggy. Considering what a noticeable and easily described outfit this»one was it seemed strange that Mr. Magruder and his friends did not get on the right track, of it sooner, but the delay was explained when they arrived here, and was due to losing several hour of valuable time by having got on the track of another outfit but which of course proved the wrong one when they had run it down. The officials here will get a re ward of 125 for their work in capturing horse and thief.
