Give Oats Another Trial.
The Kentland Enterprise advances the theory that the land in this country is “oats tired,” and that is assigned as a reason tor a crop rhortage. From what investigation the writer has made in conveisation with farmers and elevator men this is in no manner respon sible for the short crop. The cold and wet early spring, the green bugs and the rust of June all aided in the failure this year and the fault is in no manner with the soil for the failure waft as much pn new broken soil as on old oats and corn laud. The farmer understands the necessity for crop rotation and while some land does get both oats and corn tired, the charge cannot lie made as a general one. Harry Strohm is a farmer as well as an editor, and his farm manager |iay need a jacking up but we most know bow necessary crop rotation is and and grant it frugally.
