Secretary Travis Secures Attractive Program for Week. Ore of the leading features of the ! forty-first annual fair of the Tippe- I canoe County Agricultural association. Io fre held September 2-6 will be the free vaudeville acts, on an open stage in front of the big ampitheater; Secretary Charles W. Travis has been working haid for many weeks securing attractive "programs for the five days of the 1 fair, and has-been in communica tion with the leading amusement buleans in the country. Several contracts have lieeu signed, and more will be mide in a few davs, making this braudh of the exhibi tion the most elaborate in the history of the a—vcialion Over VI.OOO will .be expended on these attractions-alone, and all perform auce will be absolutely tree. Among those who have already signed contract to appear during tie week are Byers and Johnson, Steiner Ti io, Barry and Hack and Ames and Feather The first team is rated as one of the best comedy couple on bicycles now on the road. They are comedians as well as b.cyclists, and have been in favor wherever they have appeared. The Steiger Trio do a comedy and acrobatic act that is said to be marvelous, and the trio has been a feature in all the large vaudeville houses, blending their trick with unusal comedy. The'acts done by Barry and Hack is entitled Physical Culture, showing the develop ments of the muscles, doing tricks on the Roman ring, and rand t<> hand and head to head balancing. Ames and Feather are acrobats, who give exhibitions of strength, and knockabout feats. They also burlesque bull fighters. They ha\ e proven a good drawing card wherever they have been. Svcretaay Travis is also afur other attractioi s among them bei g the Slayton Jubilee singers, who have in this city before. A military baud will be engaged to tuinish music at ail hours oi the day. If satisfactory arrangement can be -made, the Wi Id West Historical Frontier exhibition which is a Buffalo Bill show in embyro will be brought hei\. This company travels on a specian train and carries an immense amount of scenery. If this show is secured, it will be neces sary to have it give out of-doors performances. The fair association under contract, can give two per formances of each act a day, but whether both will be given in the afternoon, or one in the morning, has not ye- been decided.—Lafayette Exchange.
