The Kentland water works plant is a lailur6 as a financial proposition; Gasoli neisuxed for fuel for the pump station engine and has an average cost of 82.70 a day. In 1906 the cost for gasoline sl,068.79, which was 8382.76 more than the total water rent receipts, and gasoline is only one item, to which must be added the salary of the .engineer and all repair and other operating expenses. Last year Remington used only 8233.45 worth of gasoline, or less than onefourth what was used in Kentland, more families with water.
