CITY COUNCIL . MONDAY NIGHT

At the meeting of the City Council Monday night the following business was transacted: City Treasurer's report read and referred to finance committee. Tne matter of a brick crossing on Plum street was referred to street committee. S. R Nichols presented a claim for collecting special assessments, which was referred to the city at torney. Several claims were allowed. A resolution fixing the assessments for the Callen and Forest sewer was apopted. Resolution for sidewalk on Van Rensselaer street was adopted. The marshal was instructed to construct the cement sidewalk in front of li »ht plant, on east side of Van Rensselaer street. L. A. Branch et al petitioned for cement sidewalk on Cornelia street, and city attorney was instructed to prepare resolution for same. ' E- J. Duvall et al petitioned fur bridge on Work slreet and the same was referred to street committed
