A Notable Afternoon Party.

Mrs. . F. Hauter and Mrs. O S. S. Sbedd treated the women of Rensselaer and vicinity to an outing in the country at the home of the former two miles southeast of town from 2 p. m. yesterday. About one hundred guests enjoyed the afternoon on the lawn, as an unusual treat, and one in every way worthy of their hospitable hostesses. The weather was ideal for the occasion and the sharpened appetites of the visitor 'did more than justice to the delicious repast provided. One and all endorse the follow ing toast: Ilautcr and Shedd, Hauter and Shedd, Here's to the pair that a multitude, fed. Each with a head that is full of gray matter; Each with a tongue that will chatter and flatter; Each with a soul that's as big as a throne. Here is our toast: May the joys they have sown In the hearts of the ones who are with them today Bring a harvest of happiness all down life's way.
