Fair Oaks —— . * - • ■ W . Mrs. A 1 Moore has been quite sick but is better at this writing. Mr. and Mrs. I. Kight visited his brother in Thayer a day lately. Mrs. Ella Carson of Wolcott visited a day with Mrs. Cottingham this week. Miss Grace Speaks of Rensselaer visited with the Misses Met -1’ Kay this week. A M. Bringlewife and daughter Amy visited near Forsemari with his father this week. Miss Aleathia Burns,niece of Mrs. Cottingham is spending a few weeks at the Cotton house. Mary Burrows and children of Rose Lawn came down to visit her mother Mrs. Casie over Sunday. John Casey and daughter Fawn are visiting and picking blackberries near Rensselaer at present. Walter McConnell and wife formerly of this place but lately of Napance, Mich., have decided to locate in Fair Oaks again. Frank Hewstead has taken Mr. Kings place at the depot as operator with Grover Wood Wood assistant in the freight department. M, D. Carr and three sons returned Monday from the Advent camp meeting in Lafayette. Mrs. Carr we understand has gone on to Ohio to visit her people. Mt. Ayr and Parr both came over to Fair Oaks Sunday to show our boys how to play base ball. But it seems that Mt. Ayr got showed and the boys say if Parr had just stayed a little longer they would have gotten the game.
