THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

The County Commissionersfinfshed up the business of their regular August session Wednesday afternoon. They had a busy session, but nearly all devoted to ditch and road matters and the consideration of claims. The following ditch and road business was transacted: The much contested and disJungles ditch was established and over the latest route proposed, which is east of the first proposed route; It will be a dredge ditch, some six or seven miles long and starts in Walker township and ends in Barkley. It is referred to the drainage commissioners who are directed to make final report before Aug. 20. The E. P. Honan tile ditch in Barkley was established and Mr. Honan appointed construction superintendent. The Fletcher Mounett ditch final report was approved and Carey L. Carr appointed superintendent. The Wm. J. Reed ditch was referred to drainage commissioners for final report. The James L. Babcock' ditch was referred to John E. Alter as superintendent for coustiaction. The John J. Borntrager d'tch petition referred to Myrt B. Price, D. W. Waymire and J. W. Nowels as drainage commissioners. Date Aug. 22. The Frank Fenzel,ditch was c ntinued for objections. Id the Everett Halstead ditch, Price, Waymire and Nowels appointed commissioners, and date August 22. In the Halligau petition, Pr ce, Waymire and R. B. Harris, commissioners, and August 19th the date. F. Guy Barnard and others, petition for highway in Walker tp. Granville Moody, A. O. Moore', and J. R. Lewis, viewers, date August 19th. Geo. Wesner et al, ’ for highway in Walker tp., J. H. Tilton, John T. Biggs and Andrew Misch viewers, date Aug. 17.
