This One From Walker.
The Marrying Squire got one of the two August weddings in town Tuesday. The ceremony took place in his office in the Odd Felloe s building at two o’clock that afternoon. The parties were both from Walker township, and both had been married once before. They were Mr. Alfred E. McCoy and Mrs. Maggie .M. Stockwell. Mr. McCoy has been a resident of Walker for many years and of Jasper county all his life. He is a son of George McCoy of Hanging Grove, and nephew and namesake of Alfred McCoys, the well know ex-banker of Rensselaer, now of Queen City, Missouri. The bride, Mrs. Maggie M. Stockwell, and whose maiden name was Braddock, is the widow of Lewis Stockwell, whose death occured in Tennessee in 1903. There was no one present at the wedding except the parties themselves.
