School and School House Matters.

The school board has been having some pretty extensive repairs and improvements made at the school houses during the vacation. These include the calcomining of all the rooms, the building of some new walks, the re-roofing of the old' building and some work on the heating plant New floors are needed in the old building clear thru, but this could not be done this year for want of sufficient money. The Board met Tuesday evening and reorganized for the ensueing year. f)r. S. C. English was made chairman of the board, R. A. Parkison treasurer and C. W. Coen secretary. . ‘ Miss Tinkham has accepted tbe place of teacher in the first primary, Miss Lora Bruce in tbe second primary and Miss Leah Knox the 71h grade. This makes the list of teachers for the coming school year once more complete, and unless Dan Cupid makes another unexpected incursion in the ranks of the young lady teachers, it is thought no more changes will occur before the opening day of the schools.
