Mayor and Councilmen all p-e sent. The Engineer reportedl Cnllen and Forest streets sewer completed .according to contract, and at a to*al cost of 1485.06. Tiio attorney was ordered to get busy making up the assessments for its cost. D. M. Worland asked to tap the sewer on Van Rensselaer street, which runs from the library bnildto Makemself. Referred to the sewer commitbaa with power to act. The preliminary steps were taken foi a sidewalk on the east side of Van Rensselaer street in front of the vacant school lot from Snsan Street to the light plant. Also for a walk on Pine street in front < f the lots of Peter May and Harris, to fill out an uncompleted gapAn arc light was ordered installed at the intersection of Cnllen and Clark streets, near the Berry Paris residence. The Marshal was instructed to see the enforcement of the ordinance in reference to trimming ol trees along the sidewalks, which are to be trimmed up high enou, h from the ground so as not to interfere with people walking on the walks, nor to obstruct the ci:y lights. He was also directed to move a catchbasin on Cullen street near Rutsen, and another on Forest street, near Vine. The improving of these streets threw the catch basins ins'de the curbs. The new horse watering tank petitioned for by J. C. Gwin ie> ordered located on the east side of Forest street, 25 feet north of Vine street. Fire Chief Montgomery reported six -members present at the fire a T arm at the time Tinimbus gasoline tank caused an abortive mu on Jaly 11th.
