Bankers After Express Men.
The express companies of the United States have been called to account before the Commerce Commission by the American Bankers’ Association for “unjustly and Illegally encroaching upon the legitimate field of the banks.” They are also charged wi(h using the’r influence as common carriers to discriminate against members of the Bankers’ Association. Ail this, say the bankers, is a departure from the purpose* for which the express companies were chartered.
