Henry Whitaker Loses Good Rig.
Henry Whitaker, a Hammond liveryman, and former resident of MHB county is mourning the loss of a valuable horse and buggy, which was lifted at Gibson Wednesday night, evidently by one of the band of horse thieves, working up in Lake county. Wednesday night the animal was let to Frank Lyons, who drove to Gibson and left the horse and buggy standing outside the door of his place, and altho he was gone but a short time, when he returned the outfit was not in sight. He at once notified the police and the owners and also the surrounding towns but up to last reports received no trace of it had been found.
