Al Mgore is having an addition put to his-houser ' - Rain, rain,—Yes Fair Oaks has been getting plenty of it lately. There is strong talk of a brass band in Fait Oaks in the near future. ' *• Several,of our citizens have improvedtheir buikling by a new coat of paint. William Cottingham and Fanda Clifton are farming for Enous Moffit at present. Mr. Keene, who has been our day operator hpre, has moved and Mr. King takes' his place. Charles Brohard, who has been sick for about three months, was able to ride to town Monday. A few of our young made a flying trip to the Kankakee Sunday and report a good time but no fish. Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Munden have returned to their home in Greenfield, after a visit with their son and family. The Ripple show held forth in the park Monday night and held quite a crowd spellbound for about two hours. Mrs. Aaron Merrill of near Lebanon visited her mother, (Grandmother Brohardt) and' other relatives here this week. BKR. Erwin has been remodeling his store-room lately. also been breaking his cow to lead, by the performance witnessed in the street ths other day. We hear that, some of the boys who went nearly 2,000 miles away from here early in the spring, for the sake of seeing the sights, are very, very homesick. Top bad, but boys, and girls too, for that matter, must learn to appreciate home in some way.
