John D. Rockefeller passed down the road Wednesday evening on his private car from Chicago for the East. Supervisor John John son aud William Scottjof ,the Pan Handle rode down to Winamac in the Oil King’s car. The old gentle man was ver/ friend y with the “boys” and inquired particularly about the health of their wives and children. John D. was on his return home from the city, whither he had been haled by Judge Landis of the Federal court and made~fo impart some valuable information that probably give the judge a basis for fining the Standing Oil company a sum that will reach millions. Judge Landis will hand down his findings in the case August 3. —Winamac Journal.
