A. F. Knotts Ousted.

According to the Hammond Times the Knotts regime at Gary is soon to come to an end. That paper states that A. F. Knotts was recently ousted from the SIO,OOO position he held with the steel company during the early building period of the town, but he was permitted to retain his position as one of the attorneys. The granting of a street car franchise to Frank Gavit of Hammond instead of the Hammond Gary street car company has started things in the steel town and vicinity and it is now under stood that a reckoning is to be had all around.
