The County Board Of Review finished up their work last Saturday and adjourned, after , having made considerable changes in as sessmen s. The following are the principal changes in land assessments. Hanging Grpve reduced 15 peoent. Barkley raised 121 per cent. Jordan, all west of the center line of sections 19, 81 and 20 raised 50 per cent. Rest of township unchanged. Milroy reduced 10 per cent. Walker raised 20 per cent. In the townships of Kankakee, Keener, Union and Wheatfield, the lands were divided into different classes, and in each township each class having a uniform assessment For the most part these assessments are an increase over those made by the assessors, and in cases of the better lands, there, very materia, ly so. It would not be practical to give these changes in detail. In Kankakee they range from $5 per acre on lands of class or grade one, to S2O on class 4. Iu Wheatfield from $5.65 in class one to $22.50 on class 4. In Union from $6 in class one to S3O in class 5. In Keener from $5 in class one to S2O in class 4. Cattle was raised 20 per cent in Barkley and Rensselaer, and 10 per cent in Carpenter. They were lowered 25 per cent in Kankakee and Keener and 10 per cent in Wheatfield. , Horses were raised 20 per cent in Keener and reduced 20 per cent in Wheatfield township and town. Not many individuals assessmen s were changed. The K. of P. building in Rensselaer, belonging to the Dickinson Trust 00., and the Nowels Block, belonging to Mr. Minks,-and the brick livery - barn, belonging to Mr. Hildebrand, and all on different corners of Washington and Front streets in Rensselaer, were all very materially reduced.
