The Chicago Sunday Tribune and Indianapolis Star have pictures without number, in all sorts of poses, of Miss Marguerite Frey, of Denver, Colo., who after extensive competition, has been decided to be the most beautifnl "woman in American. She is a recent high school graduate and a sure enough beauty, aDd by all accounts as well as appearances, a sensible, modest, and industrious girl. Miss Avaline H. Kindig, of our city, daughter of Rev. H. L. Kindig and a this year’s graduate Rensselaer high school, has j ust re eeived notice of her success in competition fra scholarship at North western University at Evanston, 111. The scholarship is awarded on her record for scholarship, deportment etc in the high school, and is not only qnite an honor, but also of considerable- value from a financial point of view. It covers her tuition and other dues in the university thru the freshman year and as she had arranged to enter that university this fall anyhow, it will save her about SBO in money.
