A Wonderful Old Man.
F. J. Sears has received a copy of tho Cauton, 8. Dak., Leader of June 21st, containing a sketch of his father, Elijah Clark Sears, one of the most remarkable old men of his day. He passed his 102nd birthday on Jhne 23rd, at Canton, where he is new living in comfort and the enjoyment oi remarkably good physical and mental health, for one Of his age. His hither was a soldier under Washington in the Revolutionary war, and he is thus a genuine “Son of the Revolution” and probably the only one now living. His first vote for president was in 1828, when he voted for the Federalist - candidate against Andrew Jackson, and he..has ever since been a Whig and Republican.
