Mr; Els worth -Shearer of Lafayette was the guest of his parents here a few days this week. Miss Bessie Guy left Friday for an extended visit with her sister Mrs. Pearl Reed ht Medaryville. Mrs Chas. Murphy of Chicago is visiting her brother Edward Bellows and friends here this week. Miss Bessie of Rensselaer came Monday to visit friends, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Harris and daughters Georgia and Merle of Rensselaer spent Sunday with Mr. C, A. Balcom and family. Miss Eva Rodman returned to her home in Fowler having spent two week visiting her aunt Mrs. Wm. Broadie. i Mrs. James Zea returned home Thursday 1 from Newton, 111., where she spent a few days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thurston. Miss Nellie May who graduated at Terre Haute this week returned home Friday, Will Payne returned home Sunday to New. York City accompanied by his daughter Gertrude who who will visit him until school opens this fall. J. E. Westfall of Whiting spent Sunday with his mother. Mrs. Henry Brooks and daughter Ivy went Saturday to Logansport where they will visit her father Mr. Bushbaum over the Fourth.
Dr. Emil Desser left Saturday for Harper, lowa, to visit his parent for a few days. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bahler, June 28 a daughter. Miss Nola Grubb who went to Ann Harbor, Michigan a, few months ago, intending to prepare herself for a trained nurse returned home Friday.
