WILL BE RECORD BREAKING 4TH

The plans for the mammoth’ 4th of July celebration to be held in Renstelaer have been going on at a lively rate and everything points to that evept being the most nn qualified success of any celebration Over held here. The famous band, from Chicago, being Deßanghs 20th century band' which is considered the best of all Chicago bands, will be here to start business the first thing iu the ' morniDg, their contract calling for them to be here at 5 o'clock in the morning' At 10 occurs the industrial parade and at 11 the oration by Father Heldman. Immediately after dinner a busy time begins, consisting of the tree performances on the elevated stages by the large troup of vaudeville performers from Chicago, an attraction that costs S2OO. Along with this is the performances by the trick bicycle rider I Comical Clawson, and the smaller

events, such as foot races, sack ! races, etc. Then at 2:30 o'clock occurs the ball game at the park, I which will be between Chalmers and Monticello, two old base ball rivals. These are both teams That have been playing ball all year and they are in good trim. The game will be free of charge.

At 2:30 also begin the racing at the stock farm. This is a private venture and not under the auspices of the 4th committees, consequently ah admission of 25 cents will be charged, but lovers of horse racing do not care for the small cost and the program looks like a very interesting one. | A merry-go round will do busi-

At night occurs the street vaudeville performances by the DeMatoes and the company from Chicago, a big danoe at the armory, and the great and original fire show by the

W 1 en Chief Montgomery began to plan this event he had no idea of making so grand an affair, bat.as the possibilities of elaborating it asserted themselves they determined to do everything to make it a wonderful performance, and the 4th committee has granted them plenty of money to do it with. When the performers at this improvised theatre are getting into action the theatre will be blown np, will catch fire and the performers will be rescued by the slide for life method. It will be worth coming many miles to see.

There will be plenty of eating houses, plenty of cool water, plenty of shade, plenty of amusement and every ene who comes here should go away pleased. This is Rensselaer’s aim and it is confidently believed by those having the celebra tion in charge and that includes about every one in town, that this will be the biggest and best celebration ever held in Jasper county.
