Voters To Be Enumerated.

The enumeration of the voters in Indiana will be completed by July 1. This work is in charge of the township trustees, who do the work themselves or have deputies. Tbi.-* J* isfefieiery six

'KHistitotion, and then at tup ensuing meeting of the legislature the state is re-districted and the number ot state senators and representatives is re-arranged in accordance to the number of voters. Past experience has proven that t ie enumerators have much trouble in getting the information desired, as many assume statistic gatherers are making inquiries concerning jmattera which “are none of their business.” It takes about ten minutes in some cases to get the name, then to get the age will take another ten minutes. Some must have the affair thoroly explained, and then will say there is “no sense in doing it.” Others will say that two or three persons have already been around on the same purpose, but in this they are mistaken, as the others who had been around were enumer ating the school childre n. It often happens that people are ‘not at home’ and this causes extra trips and even then trouble to get the voter’s name and age. In some cases voters have absolutely refused to give their age. In such cases the enumerator has to make a guess at it
