To Begin Blasting Next Week.

Contractor Moore for the river rock drilling and blasting got his drills and engine in place on his large barge Tuesday and sank 15 holes about six' feet deep in the rock just below where the dredge is now standing. One engine opeiates all five drills simultaneously andwhen a set of holes are finished poles are put into the holes to mark their location and to keep them from filling up. The holes are about 8 feet apart When the loadiug of the holes takes place a piece of three inch pipe will be set over the holes and they will be loaded thru the pipe by a man in a canoe. Mr. Moore expects to be able to begin blasting next week. He is of the opinion that he will not have to go over much of the work done last year.
