Honor to Mrs. John Duvall
The members of the Rensselaer Relief Corps, No. 39, who attended the state encampment last week, report a most enjoyable time. They did not reach home until Saturday evening, having returned by the way of Lafayette, and having there visited the state soldiers’ home. Mrs. John Duvall, present secretary of the local corps, was honored by being chosen delegate to the national encampment to be held in September at Saratoga Springs, N. Y. Of course, all expenses are to be borne by the Department Corps. Mrs. Wm. Childers was made a teller at the convention, and Mrs. P. W. Clarke declined the nomination for membership on the department council. Dr. Mary E. Jackson, of Ham mond, formerly of Rensselaer, was elected Junior Vice President of the state. 9c suspendes at The G.E. Murray Co., for a leader next Saturday.
