—Sheriff O’Connor, was a business visitor of this place last Wednesday. j Mrs. Asa Brown has returned bom Foresman, after a few days visit with her son Ira and family of that place. Four of our townsmen Joe Davisson, Earl Osborn, Joe Smith and Harry Brown took advantage of the excursion to Chicago Sunday. Wm. Hanley, is improving his store property, this week, by patting in a new front. Mrs. Pheobe Andrews is still at DeMotte taking medical treatment. Mrs. Frank Standiey has sold her property to J. E. Meyers and will move to Nebraska, in the near future. Miss Etha M iddelkamp is spending a few days visiting ia Chicago. Samuel Hershman, the painter, has nearly completed treating J. E. Meyers building to a new coat of paint. Edward King, who has spent nearly a year and a half at his aunt |Mrs. May Kroger, of this place left Sunday for home by way of
Chicago, Miss Laura Miller who has made her home at Kniman for eight months past, returned tojßr parental home at Wheatfield, Saturday. Harry Brown, the Kniman land man is preparing to take some parties to Michigan in a few days. The farmers in this part of the country are about as far along with their work as any place in the north part of the state. Harry Brown while in Chicago, Sunday called on four of our former residents, namely Steege brothers and Rochau brothers. All are doing well and talk of coming out this summer for a few days visit, a fishing trip to the old Kankakee. Several from here attended the ball at Wheatfield Saturday night. Gale. Brown and Chas. Holle were business goers to Rensselaer Monday, and took their first automobile ride while there. Johh McGlinn of Wheatfield was here Monday looking after the interests of his mother’s property at this place.
