Women’s Home Missionary Society.
The annual District Convention of the Woman’s Home Missionary Society of the Valparaiso District met last Thursday and Friday at the M. E. church in this city. The convention was called to order Thursday aiternoon by the president, Mrs. D. M. Reed of Brook. The District Secretary being absent, Mrs. I. L. Sigler, of Rensselaer, was elected to act 88 Recording Secretary of protein. Devotional, Mrs. D. M. Wood, Hammond, Inch Mrs. Emma Parkinson entended to the delegates a cordial welcome which was responded to by Mrs. Abram Agate, Brook. Hymn, Blest be the Tie that Bends, Report oi district officers. Whereas, We, the representatives ot Valparaiso District have enjoyed the meetings and feel that It has been deeply spiritual and profitaoie, resolved that we, as members es the different auxiliaries desire to express onr sincere thanks to the local auxiliary W. H. M. 8. and to the trustees for the use of their beautiful church home and to the ladies for their cordial entertainment in their delightful homes and to all who assisted in making a success.
Therefore, be it resolved that thank all those who gave os such able papers and instructive talks and that we may all find them very helpful to onr individual auxiliaries.
