Thomas Taggart has contributed a great deal toward enlivening the democratic political Situation by giving-the democratic leaders a quiet tip that he will not seek to he re-elected to the national chairmanship. When or in what manner he imparted this information is not divulged, but all of the democrats in the front ranks of leadership have the tip, and already a spirited contest is on for the place at the head of the party organization.
