OBITUARY.

Almira Monnett was born in Crawford Co., Ohio., May 27, 1843 and departed this life in Rensselaer Ini., April 27, 1907 at the age of 63 years and 11 months. Miss Monnett was the youngest child of Thos. and Mary Monnett. She came with her father’s family from Ohio in 1850 when Almira was but 7 years of "age. Most of her life was spent on the Monnett ho Lestead, near this city. When a young girl Miss Monnett attended school at] DePauw University for several years and also for a short time at Northwestern University. Tnrough her attendance at DePauw Uuiversty, she became ceeply in terested in the institution and from time to time contributed to different departments, maintaing a prize in oiatory and’generously donating to the library lnnd. Under the ministry of Bev. B. G. Kelley Miss Monnett was baptiz ed and unitedgWith the Methodist Episcal church, the church ot her father and motherland also of her grandfather and*grandmother. She leaves to mourn herjlossjone sister and one brother, Miss Cordelia Monnett and Mr. Fletcher Monnett both of this city, besides many other relatives and friends.

At the funeral held Monday afternoon at Mr. Cox’s residence, the religious services were conducted by Rev. H. L. Kindig. The pall bearers were B. Forsythe, J. J. Hunt, J. F. Bruner, E. P. Honan, Louis Hamilton, and 8. E. Yeoman. Interment was made in Weston cemetery.
