April Was a Bad Actor.
April of evil record is now no more. It started in cold and raw, and with but few short intervals of pleasant weather, continued that way to the very end. It was preeminently a month of clouds, and bleak, cold and cheerless weather. On 18 of the 30 nights in the mont j, the temperature was down to the freezing point or lower, and sometimes a good deal lower, as 20 degrees on the Ist and 22 on the 14th. It was not a distinctly rainy month, tho the one big storm extending over the last two days, and comprising the bulk of the rain for the whole month, raised the total up to 3.42 Inches. There was rain (or snow) in a measurable quantity on 7 days and traces on 6 more. There was about two inches of snow on the 12th and 13th.
Sunshine was a rare quality, there being 13 cloudy, 9 partly cloudy and only 8 clear days. The warmest weather was 76 degrees, on the 28th and the coldest 20 degrees, on the Ist. The greatest daily range in temperature was 40 degrees, on the 26th. Buy your wire fence now, at E D. Rhoades.
