A NEW STATE MAY BE FORMED.

A new State, to be called Lincoln, will be formed from portions of the States of Washington, Oregon and Idaho, If a movement now on foot ie successful. The Chambers of Commerce of Spokane, Wash., and Portland, Ore., are behind tbe movement, and the Spokane Chamber Is especially active In tbe matter. Spokane will probably be the capital of tbe new State, which. It Is claimed, will centralise the Interests of Washington, northwestern Oregon and northern Idaho, all now remote from the centers of the respective State*.
